Try Jesus Evangelistic Campaign: Thank You

The Try Jesus evangelistic campaign official finishes next Sabbath, April 26, and we are thankful to God for the good weather this week and the support of many who were able to attend the evening meetings. A special thank you to the different ministries of the church for their faithful and quality service in support of the program to date. The Try Jesus proclamation of the good news is our collective response to God, and our demonstration of obedience to the mandate “to make disciples.

Intercessory Prayers for the Rockwood Community

Recognizing that God has placed our congregation in this neighborhood for mission and accepting that God wants us to be agents of the gospel for positive change, we are invited to continue to pray for the people, families,
and individuals that live in this neighborhood. Additionally, for the month of April, we are encouraging our members to walk and/or drive the neighborhood while praying for the community.

Youth Sabbath: May 10

The Evangelism Community Sabbath for May is the designated day for the Rockwood church to honor and recognize our young people during the worship service. More importantly, they will lead the service while presenting a musical program for us and invited guests. We are asking you to reach out to past and inactive members of our congregation to join us on this high day of worship and Christian fellowship; and thank you for your on-going support and investment in time, resources, interest, and mentorship of our youth.

Pathfinder Ministry

The goal of the Pathfinder Club of the local church is to make disciples of our children from the ages of 10-15 and their friends from the community who may want to join. The educational and outdoor curriculum of this ministry provides opportunities for spiritual learning and personal development that will help young people to grow in Christ and become responsible citizens through service. The club meets Sabbath afternoon every second and fourth Saturday of the month at church. Please speak with Nina Kight or contact her via email: jbnkight@frontier.com if you want your child to join the Rockwood Pathfinder Club.
